NCRC COO Addresses Attendees at NAACP’s 99th Annual Convention

On July 14, Jim Carr, NCRC’s Chief Operating Officer, addressed more than 6,000 attendees at NAACP’s 99th Annual Convention themed “Power, Justice, Freedom, Vote”.

Speaking before audience members at Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Center, Jim gave a compelling address, titled ‘Understanding the Foreclosure Crisis: Don’t Believe the Hype!’, clarifying the origins and consequences of the subprime crisis on hard hit communities.

NCRC and HUD Team Up for a Series of Forums on Foreclosures

The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are teaming up to offer a series of forums that will address issues related to foreclosure. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with local and national experts involved in enforcing fair lending laws, developing foreclosure prevention strategies and operating government programs that help families remain in the homes that they have worked so hard to obtain.
