The 2018 Just Economy Conference took place April 9-11 in Washington, D.C. More than 1,100 community and national leaders from 40 states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico attended 41 conference sessions and joined 100 meetings with lawmakers and Congressional staffers on Capitol Hill.
Check out this photo essay of highlights from the conference.
The conference overlapped with the 50th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act and mixed historical voices, like the Rev. Jesse Jackson, with new leaders, including New York City Deputy Mayor J. Phillip Thompson and Vanita Gupta, President and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. Rev. Jackson was honored with the NCRC Global Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the US and around the globe to improve the quality of life for all people.
