Lara Benson
Lara Benson is an attorney in the National Community Reinvestment Coalition’s Fair & Equitable Opportunity Department. In this role, she focuses on investigation and enforcement efforts, ensuring compliance with civil rights laws and advocating for equal access to housing and financial opportunities. During her time with NCRC, Lara has conducted and analyzed over 300 matched-pair civil rights tests throughout the country. She is passionate about leveraging civil rights testing as a tool for promoting systemic change and advancing equity.
Lara holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri. She is a member of the Missouri Bar. Lara lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and her dog.

Sara Oros
Sara Oros is the Program Manager for the Fair and Equitable Opportunity team at NCRC. In this capacity, she works on HUD grants and private testing projects to ensure lenders, landlords, and real estate companies are compliant with the Fair Housing Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. Prior to her role as a program manager, she was a fair housing testing coordinator at NCRC. She has designed, conducted, and analyzed over 800 civil rights tests focused on mortgage lending, home sales, rental sales, small business lending, internet algorithms, and insurance sales. Additionally, she has co-authored multiple white papers on discrimination and barriers to access in the pre-application phase of the small business lending market. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.
